Dunhill Shilling (4202) (2001) Tobacco Pipe

Like the "Ring Grain" stamp, Dunhill's "Shilling" denotes Shell Briars with exceptional sandblasts. Where Ring Grain pieces feature a dark stain and black stem, Shilling pipes, like this particular example, wear finishes more on par with the marque's Cumberland and County series, fitted with cumberland stems. Often times Shilling pipes tend to be Freehand designs or more non-traditional shapes, making this Group 4 "02" bent Billiard perhaps the most classic Dunhill estate we've seen earn the esteemed Shilling stamp. As a Group 4, there's plenty of chamber to be had here, all in a form that's still light enough to clench in the jaw and with an abundance of striking ring grain to admire.
