About This Pipe
The darkening of a fresh tobacco chamber is something I first saw on a Dunhill years ago, as a novice. I thought that it was smoked, but learned that it was a cosmetic treatment. As it turns out, Ashton often does this too, as do some of the great Danes (like the Ivarssons). This is a beautifully cut piece and has some really tight grain. Easily one of the nicest Ashton bulldogs to ever be on my desk.
