About This Pipe

Progressing from boxwood to briar, the history of Comoy's pipe making is characterized by its strong familial ties. The marque's founder, Henri Comoy, took after his father Francois, who started fashioning pipes with his brothers in Saint Claude out of more rudimentary materials until he and his son Louis discovered the benefits of briar. In 1879, Henri would bring his skills to London, where he would set up a factory and serve as a key figure in English pipe making while working alongside his sons and nephews. This "337" Prince made for The Everyman by Comoy's features a prestigious color scheme befitting of its regal namesake; a dark, mahogany smooth finish is paired to a jet-black vulcanite stem. Said stem features a lithe profile and a demure bend to the bit: a hallmark of the Prince shape. The equally trim shape makes a tidy transition at the plump bowl, which houses a surprisingly spacious chamber for such a lightweight pipe.
