About This Pipe
Alfred Dunhill established Parker in 1922 to market his titular company's flawed pipes at discounted prices. Parker became successful in America in the 1930s and merged with Hardcastle after Dunhill opened a new factory next door. In this offering from Parker, a rich red stain gives the alternating cross grain and birdseye of this Billiard's stummel a distinct look, matched by the bowl's straightforward shaping and the fine silver accent that caps the brief shank. A very lengthy, tapered, push-style stem of vulcanite stretches this piece to all of six and one-third inches before reaching the bit. It's a simple but quite elegant work of English craftsmanship sure to please any fans of the simple Billiard shape.
