Hardcastle Special Selection Sandblasted Bent Bulldog (109) Tobacco Pipe

A rippling sandblast gives the lower bowl of this bent Bulldog a rich touch to the fingertips, and the dark walnut stain of the stummel makes a wonderful complement to the traditional jet-black of the vulcanite stem. The shank, diamond-shaped to match the shape-chart specifications of a Bulldog, is generously upturned and long enough to just about reach the height of the rim before the stem takes over. No beadlines define the bowl, giving this piece a nice sense of roundness in contrast to the often crisp lines of other Bulldogs. Though adhering to the shape chart for the most part, the handsome sandblast and subtle stylistic shifts allow this piece to stand out.
