About This Pipe

Alfred Dunhill established Parker in 1922 to market his titular company's flawed pipes at discounted prices. Parker became successful in America in the 1930s and merged with Hardcastle after Dunhill opened a new factory next door. This Parker Zulu is typical of the shape, fronted by a straight-walled, canted bowl up front and a vulcanite stem out back with a generous downward bend that stretches this piece just past six inches. Its weight, barely above one and one-tenth ounces, ensures the easy clench typical of the Zulu, and a healthy smattering of birdseye also gives the bowl a handsome appearance.
