Savinelli Leonardo di Vinci Balestra Smooth (A) (6mm) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Having made undeniable contributions to the studies of art, anatomy, and represented here, weapons engineering, Leonardo da Vinci was certainly leagues ahead of his time. Here, his vision is immortalized in the eighth installment of the Leonardo line, the Balestra (giant crossbow). In silhouette, it appears to be a traditional (though neoclassical) take on the old Billiard, but it's only after viewing from the top that the shape's true form comes into play. From this angle, the rim evokes the look of an arched crossbow, as it sports a subtle pinch to each flank, resulting in a lenticular appearance. It comes as part of a boxed set, complete with matching tamper.
