Luigi Viprati Smooth Acorn (Four Clover) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

From carving a single briar pipe at his leisure during his military service in 1972, Luigi Viprati sparked a lifelong passion for pipe making. Over the years, Viprati would continue to hone his craft, gaining a thorough understanding of Italian neoclassical design. Quite a unique rendition of the shape, this Acorn features a paneled underside while maintaining the classic pointed look in profile. The bowl sits proud and upright, with thick walls that rise from the stylized heel to an inflated, broad rim. The grain is captivating, with windswept flame grain rising in harmony with the bowl's flanks, all presented in a rich walnut stain. A tapered acrylic stem in creamy, smoke-like hues tops the design, adding a nice contrast in color next to the warm stummel.
