About This Pipe
Roberto Ascorti was introduced to pipes by his father, Giuseppe "Peppino" Ascorti — co-founder of Caminetto. After attending art school as a young adult, Roberto decided to bring his artistic sensibilities into pipe making, forming his own eponymous workshop in 1980. The Ascorti workshop's style falls under Italian neoclassicism, with whimsical flairs added to traditional shapes often rendered in bold, dramatic proportions. Popular finishes from the workshop include the Business rustication and the New Dear's melting wax motif.
