Designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed in 1762, the Trevi is the largest Baroque fountain in Rome and one of the most famous in the world, marking the junction of three roads — "tre vie" in Italian, thus leading to its name. For Savinelli's celebratory series, the Italian marque presents here a dark-stained, glossy rustication, accented with a flashy nickel ring emblazoned with the characteristic arches of the Acqua Vergine, an ancient Roman aqueduct for which the Trevi Fountain acted as a terminus.
