About This Pipe
This Dublin by Austrian artisan Peter Matzhold is an excellent example of the craftsman's unique approach to traditional shapes. The design favors the bowl, placing it a dynamic forward cant at the fore of a slim, paneled shank, capped with a broad, slightly domed rim delineated by a firm ridge atop plump, curvaceous walls that rest comfortably in hand. The aforementioned shank stretches out behind a sweeping transition to a meet a tapered vulcanite stem. Dressed in a rich ochre finish, the stummel boasts impeccable flame grain around the bowl, with swirling birdseye at the rim and heel.
