Smooth Zulu with Silver (CCCCC) Tobacco Pipe

Claudio Cavicchi's impressive career in pipe making spans over half a century. With such extensive experience, it is no surprise that the Italian pipe maker has been able to hone his abilities to a legendary status. This Zulu from Cavicchi possesses the shape's characteristic smooth elegance, with a touch of neoclassic playfulness in the shortened shank. The pipe's flare begins at the bit and expands through the tapered stem into the shank. The bowl continues that expansion on the other side of a wide and gradual transition as it swells into a wide, smooth-finished rim. A glossy smooth finish accentuates cross grain along the flanks that guide the eye through the stummel's rim-ward growth, as well as eddying pools of birdseye on the stummel's fore and aft. The rim, awash with strips of cross grain blowing across the surface, frames a deep chamber ideal for longer smokes.
