About This Pipe
Ron Fairchild got his start in pipe making in the late 1970s, but by 1981, he had made it his full-time profession. Since then, he's crafted small batches of meticulously made pipes, producing no more than 100 pipes a year. As such, his pieces are highly collectible, and the time-consuming attention to detail certainly shows in his work. This Billiard, for example, showcases elegant shaping and excellent finishing, both of which show off the briar's lovely flame grain. The stummel wears a warm, earthy stain and is paired to a sleek saddle stem of vulcanite.
