About This Pipe

Ryan Alden of Texas has a background in a wide array of physical arts, including sculpting, leatherworking, and woodturning. This Billiard of his making takes inspiration from the type of pipe favored by American crooner Bing Crosby, who often smoked lengthy Billiard pipes. The bowl is a straightforward Billiard dressed in alternating cross grain and birdseye, tapered lightly only near the top and connected at the heel to a relatively long, thin shank. The shank is joined by a thick silver accent at the junction with a very long tapered vulcanite stem. The piece is barely under seven inches in length, all told, and a great interpretation of Crosby's favorite pipe.
