About This Pipe
Arnold Garfinkel fled Nazi Germany for the United States in 1938, settling in Washington, D.C., where he started a tobacco shop that closed a few years later. He founded A. Garfinkel in 1960, and in 1980 moved to a location in the 1500 block of I Street NW, situated within walking distance of Lafayette Square and the White House. This bent Dublin from the A. Garfinkel marque is a classic interpretation of the traditional shape, with a lightly canted conical bowl draped with sloped flame grain. The stummel is smoothly finished and stained a medium walnut hue, backed by a lengthy stem of tapered vulcanite.
