About This Pipe
This Acorn from Adam Remington is sandblasted beautifully for an excellent grain pattern, highlighting the flame grain and growth rings of the bowl that are only further accentuated by the warm mahogany stain. The bowl is typical of the Acorn shape: quite round at the fore with a relatively straight aft wall backed by an upturned, teardrop-shaped shank capped with an accent of boxwood. A minutely bent saddle stem of vulcanite finishes the piece, a great work of briar on Adam's part that lets the wood speak for itself.
