About This Pipe

The "128" from Rattray's is a classic Poker with a cylindrical bowl and a subtly raised transition. Its slightly angled shank complements the bent stem, creating a perfectly balanced pipe that sits securely upright, aided by the bowl's forward tilt. This design appeals to lovers of traditional English shapes, offering both visual elegance and practical stability. The gentle bend also promotes a comfortable smoking posture when clenched, making it ideal for those who appreciate a stout, confident silhouette without sacrificing ergonomics.

As testified to by its Devil's Cut and Angel's Share series, Rattray's isn't shy about its affection for whisky, specifically single-malt, Scotch whisky, of course. The Scottish marque's Distillery series celebrates that Scottish "water of life" and honors historic, Islay distillers like Lagavulin, Bruichladdich, and Kilchoman, known for their smoky and peaty whiskeys. Pipes in this series are united by a broad, copper band — the same material used for whisky stills — and this example wears the line's virgin-finish sandblast. This particular "G" example is fashioned from ash wood and features a graphite chamber insert that is tasteless, odorless, and easy to clean.
