Coloss 'G' Natural (148) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe

The "148" shape from Rattray's is an extra-large bent Billiard design, and it's found exclusively in the Coloss series, accompanied by the "147" straight Billiard rendition. Though boasting an increased overall size, the "148" remains well-balanced in regard to relative proportions, and the pipe-chart archetype is maintained in profile — the tall bowl rising up from the stout shank at just the right degree of forward cant to balance the form. It's a design created for maximum chamber depth, and such bold proportions make for a substantial, comfortable posture in hand.

Appropriately named, Rattray's Coloss series presents pipes of colossal size, divided between two shapes: a bent and a straight Billiard. The line prioritizes bold proportions and chamber depth, meant for long, relaxing smoking sessions. This particular example wears a natural sandblast, contrasted by a handsome chrome accent along the shank end for tasteful flash. This particular "G" example is fashioned from ash wood and features a graphite chamber insert that is tasteless, odorless, and easy to clean.
