About This Pipe
A sweeping iteration of the classic shape, this paneled bent Dublin shows off extra mass around the bowl while retaining a sleek character consistent with much of Ropp's portfolio. Said bowl is defined by eight crisp facets and a subtle flare at the rim, while the heel sweeps suddenly back into an upturned shank and impressively long and hearty vulcanite stem.
Ropp's Gargantua series, like the rest of Ropp's portfolio, is sourced from old stock stummels in the Chapuis-Comoy factory. What sets this series apart from the rest of Ropp's offerings, aside from its focus on massive pipes, is that the robust vulcanite stems are also sourced from original stock. As the name implies, the Gargantua line presents Ropp's largest series of pipes to date, offered across a variety of shapes in both smooth and sandblasted finishes, with the latter seen here.
-Davin HyltonNote: While most of our other pipes are photographed individually, these are not, and you may expect some reasonable cosmetic variation between the example we've photographed and the pipe you've received.
