About This Pipe
Plump, charming, and positively sinuous, this Rhodesian from Italian Artisan Claudio Cavicchi is a shape we haven't seen in a fair while. Usually his Rhodesian profiles are squat, nearly flat, broad, saucer-like renditions, are less fluidly curved, feature taller bowls, or are straight. This, however, is possessed of a far more gracile curvature to its shank and stem, the former set at a fairly tight angle thanks to the transition. Despite this relatively svelte combination at the rear, the bowl it is attached to is quite full-bodied, with a pronounced lifted heel and a pair of beadlines at its high-set waistline that mark the swift taper to the rim. The result of this is simply a fantastic surface for the hand to grasp, all covered in one of Cavicchi's striking, grain defining chestnut stains, with birdseye absolutely covering the surface of the rim.
