About This Pipe
Both Dunhill's "21" and "35" shapes are renditions of the classic Zulu, exhibiting forward-canted Dublin bowls and often fitted with slightly bent stems. Where they differ is most noticeable at the transition and heel: The "35" found here displays a more curving profile, lending prominence to the bowl and heel and decreasing its cant compared to that of the "21." This Group 3 iteration beautifully embodies flowing, dynamic elegance, as the shank and stem curl into the flaring bowl.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
