About This Pipe

Dunhill's Quaint series denotes pipes that fall outside of the English marque's shape chart, either as modified versions of existing shapes, or completely new ones. This Rhodesian showcases a far more sinuous silhouette than most other renditions of the shape from the White Spot, all thanks to its compressed shank and gracefully bent stem. Said combination ebbs out of a tight transition, tapering subtly through the stem's long, arcing travel. Up front, the bowl stands on a rather firm heel, its walls flaring out to a high-set waist marked with a firm ridgeline.

Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
