County with Silver (5115) (2019) Tobacco Pipe

It's not often that Dunhill adds a unique creative touch to one of their standard shape chart designs. Typically, such deviation is reserved for pipes within the Quaint series. On the White Spot's shape chart, the "15" is a classic bent Pot, pairing a squat, muscular bowl to an angled transition, rounded shank, and bent stem. In this Group 5 rendition, though, the English workshop adds crisp ridgelines — the shank resembling that of a Bulldog's. It's one of the few times we've seen a "15" with such an accenting touch, and it's further commended by a band of sterling silver to contrast against the County series' stem and sandblast.

Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
