Lattice Cherrywood (with Case) Tobacco Pipe

This striking Cherrywood design form IMP is truly impressive, featuring a dramatically canted bowl paired to a flaring shank and a gently downturned stem. The majority of the stummel is finished in an intricate latticework carving, with the beveled rim left smooth for some textural contrast. This piece is also able to sit stably thanks to the bowl's flattened heel and the excellent balance this piece possesses. What I find to be most intriguing is the shank face, as it's carved to emulate the natural plateau on briar pipes and adds even more character to an already fascinating piece. Not to mention, the stummel will gradually darken with time and use, taking on more personality with each bowl that's enjoyed.
