Mastro Geppetto, a sub-brand of Ser Jacopo, produces handmade pipes with the same playful, inventive shaping as their parent brand, but at a more approachable price point. Forgoing their typical style, this Billiard is a slightly more reserved offering from the Italian marque. The bowl boasts a muscular heel, from which the walls rise with the subtlest of tapers to a crisp, flat rim. A low-set shank emerges from the cheeked transition out back, and is joined by an arrow-straight, tapering stem. Said stem's cumberland finish pairs handsomely with the smooth, dark walnut finish that dresses the stummel. While on the more reserved side in terms of both finish and overall shape, this Billiard still boasts the bold, enlarged proportions of the Italian neoclassical style.
