About This Pipe
Peterson's "03" bent Apple maintains the extra-stout shank and robust transition that combine to define the Peterson aesthetic, while trading the Irish marque's typically tubular bowl style with the rounded form of a classic Apple. The plumpness of the bowl translates well to the hearty transition and shank, lending the composition a tight-knit, muscular aesthetic. It's one of the marque's most charming, well-known shapes, and it's easy to see why — whether hanging from the jaw or filling the palm, it's a versatile smoker that seamlessly marries traditional appeal with Peterson's recognizable personality.
The classic dress pipe motif combines a glossy black stain with sterling silver. Pioneered by Dunhill's Dress finish and well represented in Peterson's Cara series, the aesthetic plays with contrasting colors, like the black-and-white palette of a tuxedo, to display an elegant, formal presentation. In the Racing Green line, Peterson adds a distinctly Irish spin on the dress pipe finish. Introduced in 1996, the series showcases the superlative silverwork of the Sallynoggin factory's smiths but, instead of a glossy, ebony stain, Peterson contrasts the silver against their signature, dark emerald stain. The combination still exudes the regal disposition associated with the dress pipe look but with a decidedly more "Peterson" appeal.
