About This Pipe
Combining elements of the Author, Prince, and bent Apple, Peterson's "408" maintains a classic profile yet doesn't fit exactly into the traditional pipe chart. The voluptuous bowl and hearty shank cater well to the Irish marque's muscular design aesthetic, and the unique form demands attention — showcasing classic shaping cues and offering a plump in hand presence.
Similar to the Donegal Rocky series, Peterson's Derry line dresses pipes in a rugged rustication, but instead of a jet-black mouthpiece, the Derry features an acrylic stem of swirling chocolate and caramel tones. Named after the second largest city in Ireland, known for its distinctively hilly topography, this series appropriately dresses the stummel of each piece in a craggy, well-textured rustication with an earthy walnut stain over top. A bright nickel army mount completes the presentation, offering some aesthetic flash and allowing the pipe to be broken down easily for cleaning.
- Madison LongNote: While most of our other pipes are photographed individually, these are not, and you may expect some reasonable cosmetic variation between the example we've photographed and the pipe you've received.
