About This Pipe
Peterson's Pipe of the Year series is one of the Irish marque's most anticipated limited-edition releases and has been an annual tradition since 1997. For 2026, fittingly marking the series' 30th anniversary, Peterson has once again delved into its extensive archives for inspiration. Exclusively for the Pipe of the Year 2026, Peterson has revived the "493" Squat "Cad" Bulldog, a distinctive shape that first appeared in the marque's catalog as far back as 1896.
One of Peterson's oldest Bulldog designs, the "493" features a broad, squat bowl and a sturdy diamond shank, embodying the timeless character of the marque while benefiting from modern production techniques and more than a century of refinement. Serialized out of 1,100 globally, each 2026 Pipe of the Year is fitted with a P-Lip mouthpiece, accented by a striking silver band, and presented with a custom bag made from genuine Donegal tweed, with this particular example dressed in the smooth Heritage finish.
