About This Pipe
After a long stint working at Castello for Carlo Scotti, Luigi Radice left and formed the Caminetto brand with Guiseppe Ascorti, who he worked with at Castello. In 1980, Luigi went on to found his own brand, Radice, which has become well-renowned in Italy for its high quality pipes. This Rhodesian from the famed workshop epitomizes the Italian neoclassic aesthetic with its strong bowl-forward presence and distinct heel. Emphasizing the bowl's robustness, the shank-and-stem arrangement is comparatively narrow, flaring gradually from the bit into the sharp transition to guide the eye towards the bowl. This bowl is a capacious affair, capable of hosting longer smoking sessions with a favorite blend, all the while offering plenty of surface area to wrap the fingers around. Dressed in Radice's Silk Cut finish, the stummel is complemented by a hardwood accent along the junction.
