Dolomiti Smooth (611 KS) (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

A bold bent Dublin of hearty proportions, Savinelli's "611 KS" offers a substantial, three-quarter bent stem and shank combination for easy clenching and comfortable balance. The bowl flares softly from the firm Italian heel in almost Billiard fashion, but with just enough expansion to know it's a Dublin. With a high-set transition reaching halfway up the bowl, it's a Dublin meant for long, comfortable smokes.

Inspired by the iconic Dolomite mountain range in northeastern Italy, as well as the sedimentary carbonate rock of the same name found there and in various historic buildings throughout Rome, Savinelli's Dolomiti series is fittingly characterized by its earthy brown color palette. This particular example wears a chocolate-stained, rusticated finish, accented by a small beige acrylic band, as well as a matching acrylic mouthpiece of variegated caramel and cream tones. Such an aesthetic calls to mind the appearance of the mountains near dusk when the last rays of sunlight lend the pale grey stone a darker, richer, and warmer color.
