Cornell & Diehl - Skyward Gate 2oz
Outstanding
I’m blown away. I can see what others say about the various hay, grass, and bread notes. Those terms apply, but there’s more to it. I think that’s one of the things that appeals most to me - there are subtleties in this blend that I don’t get with many other products. It’s intriguing and develops nicely throughout the bowl. I’m really anxious to see what it does with age. It also just relegated many of my other tins to the aging category because I keep reaching for this over everything else.

As someone who likes to tinker, the plug cut is perfect. This is a great blend, and it’s fun to participate in the end result by changing how I slice it, dry it (or not), etc. Looking forward to trying this blend after aging too.

Great way to elevate your pipe tobacco storage
The materials and construction are excellent. I love the glass bowl concept. The convenient slots for humidification packs make upkeep a breeze. I’m still in the seasoning stage, so it will be a while before I can to comment on the full experience. I only wish it came with some special or exclusive tins like the first edition. I can’t comment on the included tobacco yet since I’ve never tried it, but it would’ve been a lot more exciting if it came with a couple of limited edition tins. This product is more than a storage accessory. It’s about creating an experience. It’s all subjective, but for me, those tins stole some of the magic from the unboxing. Still, I’m really looking forward to putting my favorite blends in those glass bowls. It’ll make a great filling station for my day’s adventures.
