Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation - Evening Flake

This stuff is wonderful. It’s fruity, spicy…darker/richer than others due to the hot-pressing I assume. I prefer this over Orlik and Escudo. For me, Peterson’s Navy Rolls are #1 and Evening Flake is #2. I have yet to try Stokkebye’s Luxury Navy Flake due to finding this stuff. I’ll eventually get around to trying others, but this is perfect for every day. Definitely a winner and is going to age exceptionally.

This stuff truly surprised me. This is dark, sweet, tangy, and the Latakia does something magical…it seems like, to me, when Latakia and red Virginias mix, I tend to get this almost chocolate note which is totally present for me in this blend, even though there is no added flavoring. It is definitely unique and a blend I intend to keep in rotation. Don’t let the Latakia scare you off from trying this blend.

My morning coffee blend
I love this blend with my first cup of coffee right when I wake up. This is a dry/Danish-style Aro, so beware…you might taste tobacco! But this is like smoking a Snickers bar. I have also found this to smoke best for me in a briar rather than in a cob…it tastes best that way…perhaps because it is a dry/Danish Aro. This, along with Stokkebye’s Sweet Vanilla, are my two go to Aro’s. Get you some!

Peter Stokkebye - PS6 Sweet Vanilla

This is exactly what I was looking for in a Vanilla Aro. Dry/Danish-style should be in the description. I don’t get the low scoring reviews. Perhaps people are expecting a wet, goopy, mouth coating, chemical tasting Aro? This needs no dry time, has no bite, smokes dry with PLENTY of Vanilla flavor and a room note to die for. This and Stokkebye’s Nougat are my top and only two Aro’s I smoke. Both, for me, do better in a briar than in a cob. If you’re looking for a Danish style vanilla that doesn’t cost $20 a tin…this is the one.
