Can’t keep the bowl going
I like the flavor and the aroma but I cannot make this cut stay lit in my bowl. I just keep going back to Captain Black Royal, never lets me down

My go to
My favorite by far. Smooth, always fresh and reasonable. Being in Michigan the taxes make it difficult to go outside of the local shops which all carry Captain Black

Nothing special
I am a fan of Captain Black Royal because I can buy at the corner store. This was decent but essentially the same flavor. Makes my tongue numb more than I like. Won’t get it again, the Captain is just fine for better price and fresher.

Smooth smoke a little like lead
Very smooth smoke, doesn’t numb the tongue. It has a slight taste and smell of #2 lead pencil but you will get past it! My package ordered May 2025 was packed July 2024 so inventory appears to be old. Reasonably fresh though and smokes ok
