Around The Burl: Jacono Pipes
In this episode of Around The Burl, Shane Ireland recounts his recent visit to Tonino Jacono's workshop near Jesi, Italy — where he took in the area's beautiful landscape and learned more about the various steps and processes that go into each Jacono pipe.

My small collection of pipes includes eleven Jaconos, and they are each beautiful of design, of grain, of workmanship, and smoking qualities. Hopefully Tonino will create special pipes to celebrate his 40 th anniversary.
I didn't discover his pipes until just after the turn of the millennium (started my pipe journey in the 80s), but when I found them, I was hooked and started collecting all the ones I liked and also making sure I have at least one of each grade.
A video I made about the different grades, etc:

This visit description sounds like heaven! I am a health nut so the organic meal was very appealing I was immediately attracted to his pipes! Fair priced for such quality and beauty. How the hell does he drill that odd shape hawkbill shank??This is my next gift to myself.
LOVE his pipes, I currently own 4 and can’t wait to add another very soon
Great video w/ Tonino............Quite frankly, I never knew how to properly say Jacono before now. He has been good for pipe making and it appears pipe making has been good to him as well. I have 14 Jaconos now but, I have had more. I lost a nice long shanked Jack once that is still breaking my heart. I have noticed that he used to make many Bishops and quite a few Bishop E's and now it is Rook after Rook and less Bishops, Jacks and Queens. I'm sure that model is better for business purposes. Thanks for making and sharing such a nice video with us.
At the risk of giving up one of my best secrets, Jaconos on the eu site are excellent, two of my favorites are from there. I have 9 at least and plan on getting more.
