Mystery Tobacco Review: December 2023
Welcome to another exhilarating installment of Mystery Tobacco Review, a monthly series in which our panel of experts attempts to identify a mysterious tobacco submitted purposely to stump them. This month features a Mystery Cigar Review crossover Inquisitor with Robert Caldwell of Caldwell Cigars and Lost & Found Cigars. Robert has developed not only his cigar knowledge but also his pipe tobacco knowledge, exploring with joy all that the pipe world has to offer. Will his choice for us this month bewilder Alan, Truett, Andy, and me, or will we identify the blend and end the year victoriously? Join us as we discuss the blend and make our guesses, with the grand reveal from Robert at the end where we discover whether we prevail over his blend submission or cap 2023 off with failure.
What is The Mystery Tobacco Review?
For those unfamiliar with this little game, each month one member of our team — or sometimes an honored guest Inquisitor — selects a tobacco for us to review in a blind taste-test. Then we gather around the camera, scratch our heads, and smoke, all while attempting to guess the mysterious mixture's components, origins, and, when we're lucky, its name. There's only one rule: There are no rules.

Happy New Year gentlemen and to all at SMOKINGPIPES. I really look forward to and enjoy each month's Mystery Tobacco Review.
Way to start off the year with a bang! Great episode.
965 and black cavendish were mentioned together. I have not smoked any Petersen blends but Dunhil 966 had brown vs black cavendish which to me was very distinctive in taste.
