About This Pipe
Without even seeing it, if a friend tells you that he just acquired a Castello "Pi", you automatically know that the base model is a Sea Rock (the trim refers to a rusticated pipe that has smooth trim on the body, pretty much eliminates every other finish) and that he is the proud owner of a pretty darned rare pipe. From there, you had better have him describe it, for half the fun about the Pi trim is that it rarely seems to be executed in the same manner twice. Take this handsome bent billiard as an example. Leaving the shank smooth, and then allowing that smooth to circumnavigate the rusticated bowl as a dividing band. Well, that's sure not anything that I have seen before. Oh yeah, I'm loving it.
