About This Pipe
A broad fireplug of a pipe, this Collection bulldog keeps its flame grain and birdseye well in order below and above the bead, respectively. The silver cap on the shank is an addition I find much more integral to the composition as is usually the case with such additions, as it works to visually shorten the briar of the shank, creating a better balance with the low, broad bowl. The choice of a full cap, as opposed to a simple band, furthermore accentuates a compact, snub-nosed impression.
