Walnut Kalabash with Silver Band (L1) (Maxima) Tobacco Pipe

My fear of expressing absolutes in writing will necessitate a tiny hedge here, but this might well be the finest grain that I have ever encountered on a Kalabash, prior to moving to Giancarlo's Gem Grades. Oh yeah, that good. The shape speaks for itself, and like all of Giancarlo's Kalabash, this beauty passes the pipe cleaner test with less resistance than the Wehrmacht on the way to Paris. Once you factor in the wonderfully understated use of sterling, and a price in the mid four hundreds, only one question is begging to be asked; why isn't this one in your collection?
