The Davidoff name has been immortalized in the cigar industry thanks to the innovation and passion of Zino Davidoff; however, his family were actually fine tobacco blenders before he was even born. After relocating from Russia to Geneva, Switzerland when Zino was just a boy, the family established their own tobacco shop there. Immediately, Zino began to display an intense dedication to the family business, and at the age of 19, he ventured to South America for the purpose of learning all he could about the art of tobacco cultivation, storage, mixing, and production. Such knowledge and expertise eventually paid dividends when Zino invented the first desktop humidor, forever changing the cigar industry. 1947 saw the release of the Davidoff Château and Grand Crus cigar lines and, consequently, propelled the family business to the forefront of cigar-dom. After a falling out with a Cuban company 1991, Zino moved his operations to the Domincan Republic, revolutionizing the Dominican cigar and rivaling the iconic Cuban. Since then, little has changed, as Davidoff still remains synonymous with quality tobacco, expert manufacturing processes, and passionate production. Boasting a variety of cigars, Davidoff is one of the premiere brands in the world, adored by Dominican lovers and discerning smokers. When you're smoking a Davidoff, you're not only enjoying one of the best sticks the cigar industry has to offer, you're tasting its history.
