+About Ozgener Family
With an established name in the cigar industry, the Ozgener family gained recognition in 1995 when Cano Ozgener transitioned from pipes to cigars and founded CAO. In many ways, CAO personified the cigar boom of the 1990s, and their blends have become staples in humidors around the world. However, Cano passed away in 2018, and his son Tim — also a pivotal member of CAO — left the brand after it was acquired in 2010. In 2022, though, he revived the Ozgener cigar tradition with Ozgener Family Cigars, and the brand inaugurated their first blend, Bosphorus, at the 2022 PCA trade show.
