+About Rojas
Noel Rojas worked on Cuban tobacco farms for years, studying all aspects of cigar blending and production before emigrating to Texas. Much of his influence on the cigar industry has occurred behind the scenes, though, and many aficionados have perhaps unknowingly enjoyed his expertise. If you've appreciated the cigars of boutique brands such as Stolen Throne and Ezra Zion, then you've experienced Noel's artistry and handiwork. However, with Rojas Cigars, he embarks on a solo venture, much like an acclaimed film producer making his directorial debut.
The first Rojas cigars debuted in 2019, and Noel specializes in cigars of smaller ring gauges in particular — so much so that he's known throughout the industry as "The King of Small Gauge Cigars." Smaller ring gauge vitolas, like Coronas and Lanceros, have increased in popularity over the years, and most cigar blenders rely on these thinner cigars when experimenting with flavor profiles, as their component ratio best showcases the wrapper. Noel favors this approach and blends his cigar specifically toward these smaller sizes. While he still offers Robustos and Toros for varied preferences, Noel's love for small ring gauges is evident in his branding, with a number of Rojas cigar boxes marked by the slogans "Small Ring Gauges Only" and "Think Small, Think Flavor."
