口腔里面有：明显的果酸，之后甜感上升，类似于蔗糖。
烟气方面：整体轻柔，过鼻有轻微的刺激感，需要你控制斗温，整体干净的同时也会带有一定的杂味，需要存放一段时间，但不会咬舌。

like light English blends and certain other latakia blends - long as they aren't "lat bombs". But I find myself always coming back to Virginia and Va/Per blends.
So, after the fling with burley, I wanted to get several good quality Virginia-Va/Per blends for a nice change. Sutliff's Virginia Slices was one of them. I must say that the presentation is very interesting and attractive. These slices are cut considerably longer than most other flakes I've seen. I read that this is a European style. These slices rub out pretty easily, but my preferred method of flake preparation is a variation of "fold & stuff" I think of as "wad & stuff". So, I pulled a slice into a shorter section, then took a bit and simply wadded the tobacco into a ball and stuffed it into the bowl of my pipe. I repeated until the bowl was full. Bag note: smells like fresh, good ole tobacco. I couldn't detect a topping. This tobacco lights and burns readily to a fine, gray-white ash, and very few re-lights required. As with other Virginia blends, smoke this slowly to get the most flavor. Sip it! The smoke was cool and lasted a long time. Now, I usually have difficulty tasting the citrus notes everyone describes with Va blends. Plenty of grass and hay and all that, but citrus always seems to elude me. But with this blend, I was able to detect it! That sorta citrusy taste was subtle and would shy away whenever I tried to reach for it, but I was definitely getting it with this blend. Some earthiness in there, too, but lots of good, solid tobacco taste. Most Virginias leave a good after-taste for me, and Virginia Slices is no exception. It is also not hard on the tongue provided you don't huff n puff it. My favorite straight Virginia is G.L. Pease "Union Square"; Virginia Slices isn't going to beat it, in my opinion. But, just the same, this blend is tasty. Yes, it is a basic tobacco that is one- maybe two-dimensional. But, sometimes that's what is needed. This blend is good, especially for the price. It's a good one. Hay, yellow grass. Similar to PS LTF or maybe PS LNF. Good grass/hay. Tiny hint of aromaticness, especially on a retro (I prefer PS LNF). Go with price between LNF/LTF or this? Apparently others see an aromatic top too. PG humectant present too some... go for LNF instead. Good middle yellow grass. Get some sweetness. Like it more than Newminster 400 Superior Navy Flake for slightly more grassiness, but like Newminster SNF much more for the interesting and lighter characteristics.
Behaves decently throughout the bowl with flavor to the end. Did leave some moisture and dottle that I didn't want to steam through as some bite could have been there. Could be a good Virginia smoke any time of day for sure.

ery pleasant straight Virginia tobacco, it is a long cut flake that rubs out and packs easily. the flavor is typical of medium sugar level Virginia, it does require several swipes with a pipe cleaner in the course of a bowl to keep moisture down but it burns to a nice ash without any relight required. no tongue bite and a fair aftertaste. room note is okay. could easily be an all day smoke. has some hay/grass/maltiness notes. it is offered in bulk and seems to be pretty readily available (unlike many other favorite Va. and Va/Per blends right now). if you are looking for a nice, straight forward, affordable, available Va. blend to try, i would suggest this. 下了16盎司，到手试抽了一斗，整体就是青草味，中段以后偶尔能出点花香和果香，这款草可以对标ps400，但是新草没有ps400味道好。但是这个价格性价比还是很不错的。这款草需要时间，只要你能等，未来应该会挺不错的。如果你想到手就抽那还是放弃吧！不如直接买红法

Never thought I'd best Newminster #400. But here it is. Very pleasing right out of the bag. Heavier cut than 400. I would imagine a bit of age will soften the mild sharpness. Bready and bright.

the photo above. It takes about three to four hours for them to dry out, and with a quick rub they are ready for the bowl. But it's hard to get this stuff to pack tight, and as a result, if you puff rather than sip, it will burn fast and get hot quickly. There is an initial Virginia sweetness for the first third of the bowl, but then that disappears. The room note is surprisingly nice, a heady, spicey, peppery affair. Read Less

Nice aroma, moist, prefer drier blends, so i let it sit out for a few hours before using. Mix and blend with Kendal Gold Shag after drying out, had interesting results for me.

Wasn't expecting much from this flake, but I really like it. Good flavor, cool smoking, and tasty. Has a mild added vanilla flavor to it that combines with the natural sweetness of the VA. Might be adding a pound to my next order.
