This was my first try at a latakia blend, first impression was a very sour note. My guess is the rum topping is overpowering so much so that I could barely notice the smokiness from the latakia. Maybe it's my virgin pallette but I'm still on the fence about this blend. This blend gets better and better the more you smoke it. For a killer homebrew blend, mix this 50/50 with strathspey. Pipe smoking is fundamentally different than cigar smoking. I thought aromatic meant more gentle, but in reality it just means more gurgle and throat burn. This is just right: flavor, room note and burn. This is a great light anytime, anywhere solid gold smoke for me. I ended up buying a 4oz bag when it was on sale to give it a shot and I'll never look back. I'd recommend it all day long, definitely a must try at the very least. So pick up a pouch and happy smoking my friends.
