I tried this after sampling and thoroughly enjoying the similar HH Rustica blend from Mac Baren. Like Rustica, it has a dark, spicy flavor and will knock you on your ass. I found it lacking the sweeter hickory notes that HH Rustica offered, though. This is a good tobacco for blending in small amounts, as others have said, but it doesn't hit the same spot in a tasting pipe as the competition....Read More

Once again a great blend or blender from Per. All these tobaccos are wonderful on their own and I have no doubt will blend well together. Personally I like all 3 non aromatic blenders all stand alone pure tobacco experience worthy of putting away plenty to age.

Rustica has a mild flavor and mixes well with other tobaccos. The flavor is the only thing mild about this stuff…it hits like a sledgehammer. I mix it with HH Bold Kentucky about 50/50 or 25/75 favoring the Bold Kentucky and it just sings. What else is there to say…it is relatively dry so unless you like Semois level dryness, it’s perfect in every way. It’s good smoked straight as well, with a restrained sweetness, but I swear it’s even stronger than HH Rustica....Read More
