The description suggests the topping highlights the sweetness of the burly. I don't taste much cocoa or sweet burly. Simply put, this was not an enjoyable smoke. I tried to dry it out, light pack, heavier pack, narrow bowl, wide bowl, filter and no filter. Tin note is great, but smoking flavor is skunky. Hard to keep lit. Just not worth the effort....Read More

I don't know what the other reviewers ate smoking, but this stuff belongs down the toilet. It's not even close to the original Douwe Egbert's. I should have known just by the way the cut is different. Thank goodness it was cheap. And the same goes for the "Full Aromatic". Even a drug store should be ashamed to carry this!...Read More

The first time I really fell in love with this tobacco was on a Summer trip to the seaside so it will forever be linked to that in my mind. Although I'm sure it's a fine blend all year round I save it for the warmer months. I don't get the chocolate flavor so much as a tart, red wine sauce intermingled with Burley and spice. Also present are whiffs of nutty floral Orientals and a bit of Virginia hay and bread. A classic in every sense of the word, and I would not be without it when the weather warms up....Read More
