My taste preference includes VaPers and straight virginia, mostly, and some English with an occasional light aromatics thrown in.
This tobacco, Bluegrass is truly a wonderfully unique and delicious experience. It presents flavors of sweet full body barbeque flavors with none of the tobacco components dominating the flavor; thus its perfectly balanced, as well. It did not bite and smoked relatively cool using a moderate sipping of the smoke technique; which most virginias respond favorably to. I smoked this tobacco in both an author and brandy shaped 6m pipe, without a filter, which is my pipe size and shape preference. Bluegrass is a great smoke and one I think you will enjoy....Read More

This blend by Cornell & Diehl is delicious! The sweetness of the Virginia tobaccos comes through first and then the mild smokiness of the dark fired Kentucky, while definitely there the Perique is in the background offering a mild spice. Tin note…smells like a Virginia blend with maybe a hint of dark fired in it but not much. The texture of this ribbon cut feels hard to me. Not soft at all. I needed to rub this out more so I could pack it properly. I’ve had two bowls of this and my experience was the same. The flavor was immediately rough and harsh right off the bat. Also had a hard time keeping it lit for some reason. I’ve been on the fence with C&D blends for a while now because everything I’ve tried from them has been a big let down and I think this purchase just might be the very last one I buy from them. I’m going to stick with Peterson and GL Pease from now on……...Read More

Look no further my friends. You wanted to know their best blend? This is it. Just buy 5 tins and don't look back. I love DFK, and I really feel this blend makes it shine. It doesn't take the front seat, but still loud and very much there. The perique compliments the DFK in an amazing way! Just absolutely fantastic.
