fruit will bursts out. The tobacco is a bit of moist, so we need to dry out, or the smoke will be hot and flavourless. The beginning is very sweet, within a mild sour flavour, tasted like juice. The ending is like a flat Kvas, with flavours of caramel and baked grains, but less sweet.
Actually I really don't like full V at all, but this one. The first time I bought it only dued to the name of Brunello, one of my favourite wine.

tar - reminds me of strawberry fruit leather, but not in an aromatic way. That sounds like a contradiction, but my very uneducated guess is that it is the chemistry of exotic tobaccos and the processing that produces the aroma, not a strawberry topping. Who knows, either way it's sublime.
Presentation in the tin is very handsome in the classic MacBarren gold foil wrapper and flakes cut perfectly on an OCD level.
The flakes rub out with surprisingly little effort, moisture is on the dry side of perfect, ready to pack right away. Takes a char and lights quickly, and stays lit with little effort.
The smoke is mild to medium in strength, medium body, and "fluffy" on the palate. The smoke is quite sweet in the way that the very best Virginas hope to be, and that tin note carries through in residual sweetness, but not in cloying flavor. Overall a really great blend for a Virginia smoker looking for complexity.
Finally, I have read other reviews that prefer this in a certian pipe. I am not experienced enough to make a judgement, but for reference, I am smoking it in the Savinelli 320 KS that earned the tin. Huge bowl that is almost as wide as it is deep.
I will be buying several more tins. Great stuff! Read Less

沙芬的原味V草，很特别的加入了B草和O草，劲道柔和，调性是甜美向。前段味道更偏向白葡萄酒搭配奶油饼干，中段开始酒味减弱，但是V草的醇厚搭配主线坚果奶油调性让这款草的中尾段也充满了不错的体验感。整体调配色调偏明亮，适合喜欢清淡甜美向的V草爱好者，可以作为日常口粮。

to add something I haven't tasted in a Va-Bur blend before and can't describe, but it's very nice. Maybe it's responsible for the occasional spiciness that drifts through the bowl. Fairly complex, rich and smooth, burns cool - no bite no matter how hard I pulled on it. Nicotine level is fairly mild. The first tin I received was 2 months out from the tin date. The price per ounce is just a $1 more than Orlik Golden Sliced, and I think this blend has a richer, smoother, fuller, complex, and balanced flavor which makes it a good value for a daily smoke - highly recommended.
Update: After going through two more tins this has become a staple in my rotation. I've noticed a flavor that drifts in and out that reminds me of oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips and raisins - go figure. Another Update - I just opened a tin of this that was aged 3 1/2 years. Wow! The oatmeal/chocolate/raisin flavors have deepened and the tin aroma is heavenly - a very rich tasting blend. Can't wait to try it when it hits the 5 year mark. Read Less

standard ingredients. But my several attempts to reevaluate the blend have resulted with the same impression. I find it overrated and not complex, and underwhelming in the mouth, aftertaste and room note. I do like how its flakes are delicate and come apart easily.
I know this blend has its fair share of fans and those who at least smoke it intermittently, but I did try. I’ll cellar it, and return to it in several months or a year. 3.5 stars. Read Less

serable time. I think the bowl-holes were too far down into the chamber and I was lucky to get one bowl smoke before I had to use a pipe tool to break through the hole (literally). Also, when I walk pass my jars of tobacco I sometimes grab one and open it just for the aroma of it. It's practically always the Brunello I open up. It just has that somewhat different stronger scent to it that I really enjoy. This one I like the smell before and after I light it up...with a great smoking flavor as well.
