My most recent purchase of Black Duck seems different than before... like they've added some Virginia or other light variety. I'm not a fan of that. Bring back the old Duck!

Black Duck is a pleasure to smoke. Smooth as silk with a mellow, musty aroma. A delicate sweetness in the middle of the bowl to coax you along to finish the rest of it. A very mild blend with a sophisticated flavor profile.

This is a very nice english blend, just loaded with flavour, but not obnoxious.
The Cavendish really helps this fill out nicely, gives a solid body to it. This could be enjoyed any time of day, or all day. The Duck does in fact fly, and fly well.

Good mixture with a great Latakia tin note. A little bit one dimensional but enjoyable. Can be an All day smoke. More Robust and spicy than mild, but without a lots of nuance. Not really a problem anyway.

Black Duck is my new favorite in this genre. It's flavorful, but not too strong. It stays lit easily and produces lots of rich cool smoke. If you like this type of tobacco and want something slightly stronger, try English Hoopla or Pride of Loch Lomond. But for now I'm sticking with the Duck! Read Less
