About This Pipe
A young Jorn Larsen found himself interested in the field of mechanics and ultimately worked as a locksmith in Denmark before he gravitated toward the world of pipe making. Just as locksmithing involves working with the hands to manipulate intricate parts, Jorn rusticated this Billiard to have an intricate, unpredictable touch that the fingertips will appreciate with each use. The bowl is lightly tapered from near the heel to the rim, and the shank wears a similar rustication as it backs up to the tapered vulcanite stem. A warm, mahogany-colored stain colors the stummel beautifully, allowing this piece an excellent color palette in addition to its rich touch.
