About This Pipe
German pipe importer and dealer Hans Richter distributed Antique brand pipes, some of which originated in Denmark, including this Egg. The bowl is somewhat slender for its titular shape, dressed in cross grain on the fore and aft and birdseye on the flanks. The stummel is finished smoothly and catches the light with ease, and a lengthy saddle stem of vulcanite finishes the piece. It's a well-made interpretation of the Egg shape, substantial in touch and sight.
